Built to Widen Access to Management Education
The idea of establishing Divine Open Institute of Management originated in Uganda as a deliberate initiative to create a specialised institution focused on excellence in management studies, delivered through a flexible online and open learning model. The Institute officially commenced operations in 2026 as a modern, online-based institution for management training and leadership development.
DOIM's establishment was driven by the need for structured, professionally oriented management education delivered through digital and blended learning. Its model integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based learning and practical application, supported by virtual platforms and real-world engagement with communities, industries, civil society and public institutions — while maintaining strong academic standards through collaboration with established universities.
DOIM was founded to contribute to sustainable development through a participatory, self-directed learning approach enabled by technology. Since its inception, the Institute has attracted experienced academics and professionals committed to building excellence in management studies, business leadership and related disciplines, producing graduates equipped with practical problem-solving skills for today's digital and global economy.
